The GLA awards the Great Lodge of Andorra Award to the Human Rights Institute
The annual dinner of the Great Lodge of Andorra took place in Escaldes-Engordany on Saturday 9th of June. During the dinner, the GLA granted the Grand Lodge of Andorra to the Institute of Human Rights of Andorra for its effort to study, research, dissemination and promotion of values, which share the institution and masonry.
The Prize consists of a figure of a stonemason, appealing to the origins of the masonry, and an economic grant that every year gives the GLA and that is achieved thanks to the contributions of its members to a solidarity project. The award was attended by the president of the Institute, Elisa Muxella, who thanked the prize, which is the first one to receive the Institute of Human Rights of Andorra since 2007 when it was created. The president explained that “Human Rights are not something that is far from us, but we must defend them at home, at work and in all the activities we do on a daily basis.” Muxella, also appealed to the Andorran Masons to continue “fighting for peace, fraternity, equality and freedom.”
